Born and raised in Yanji, China (the border city next to North Korea), I went to a Korean International School, in which I have learned to speak fluent Chinese, English, Korean, and Japanese.
I always believe knowledge could take me anywhere I desire. At the age of 16, I came to the United States for advanced education and chasing my American dream. I developed my passion in both arts and science, and my hard work helped me get into one of the best bioengineering undergraduate programs at UC Berkeley.
Being a student of Jennifer Douna, the Noble Prize winner in cehmistry 2020, I am enlightened by her intelligence both in business and academics. She has taught me an important lesson that the ultimate goal of science and knwoledge is to make the world a better place.
Therefore, in 2021 when I am still a junior at UC Berkeley, I found my first biotech company dedicated to transforming regenerative medicine into more accessible, proactive, and personalized solutions for age-related chronic diseases.
This is just the beginning of my journey and welcome to my life!
